We're prety excited about this patch. We had intended for most of this to get into the last update but as usual got too excited and couldn't wait any longer - so here's the last half of last patch. We're starting to feel pretty good about the basic functionality of the game and are confident we're going to "get there" for release. Thanks for all the great testing and help so far! As usual if you find something that we think we fixed that is broken PLEASE post about it on the forums at www.playsaga.com/forum! We'll see you in game! QUEST DIFFICULTY We are 100% aware that many quests are really, really tough now. We've begun the fixing process but there's a lot left to do. Please be patient as we fix the rest - most of them should be updated by next patch - we didn't want to delay this update any longer. Also please make good use of the quest survey's we're gathering up all that data for the big overhaul coming up. MORALE We've totally revamped the morale system and we're a bit scared but at the same time optimistic that we are getting closer to a proper product. Please take some time to get familiar with it. Be aware that many things affect your unit's morale. Some of note are: proximity of friendly units, units routing nearby, number of enemies hitting the unit, stamina/fatigue, internal makeup of unit, damage being done and damage being taken, etc. ITEM SHOP There have been a number of adjustments to items in the last little while. We want them to become a bigger part of the game. Please check out the item shop and check things out. Also please send us some feedback on how you are feeling about quest loot and item functionality in general. INTERFACE CHANGES You can see the first bit of the new interfacing coming in if you check out the item shop. We'll try to get that all done for the next build. It will look nicer, be more functional, allow you to use chat when in other menus, and make the game feel all around better. • Fixed a bug with the item management screen which could cause crashes when you had no items. • Portals will now generally not spawn at the starting location. • Summoned units have a unique icon to help identify them in the troop tray. • Unit management page now remembers where you were scrolling when using the slider button. • Projectiles can now shoot from their proper locations - we still need to set some of them up and work on the timing so it matches the animation. • Walls and gatehouses should no longer crash the game when destroyed. • Quest Loot box should no longer popup when typing in chat. • Armor equip page now uses the proper icons. • Fixed the massive leak with trees and grass - yay! • Manashards now will be produced properly. • Portals will now appear on the minimap when you have achieved the victory conditions. • Item costs changed significantly to scale and be more player level appropriate. • Fixed a rare issue where things could be lost in market trade. • Removed some erroneous disconnect/timeout messages. • Loading will now stop properly if a disconnect/timed out message is receieved by the client. • Morale rebalanced and fixed to work "properly". We'd love some feedback after players get used to the new changes. • A victory message will now inform players how to proceed when the portal pops up. • Chat can now be accessed in most screens. • Skyboxes now move again. • Routing units should now rout more properly and not get stuck. • Shadows for troops improved several times over. • Account passwords now can use characters other than alphanumeric. • Links to the website now directly log you in if you are already in game. • End of battle screen update with icons. • Fixed a crash which could occur when pressing enter for quest objectives. • Significantly reduced the cost of the university and improved several of the upgrades to increase farming capabilities. • The item show no longer should have issues with named or other special items. • Cursor system changed to be "smooth as butter". No more cursor lag - yay! • Incomplete gatehouses no longer crash the game. • Fixed several unit specials to work properly. • Rebalanced some troops that were in need of a little loving. • Fixed a crash with invalid items in equip screen. • If a number of units are selected all will now use their special abilities. • Rebalanced a number of items. • Reduced the difficulty of many of the early game quests - a lot more balance is coming next patch.
