• News for the Weekend •
3 April 2009
Dear SAGA players, We apologize for the recent issues that have been negatively impacting gameplay since the 1.45.6 rollback. In recognition of the inconvenience caused to our players, we'll be giving everyone two free booster packs over the weekend. We realize that this has been a frustrating experience for many, and we'd like to assure you all that we are working diligently to assure a smooth patch when 1.46.2 lands. In exciting news, we will be re-enabling the public test servers that we have used in that past. The public test server will hopefully launch this weekend. We have several team members working through the weekend to assure that this happens as soon as it is feasible. The test servers are meant to be a permanent addition to the game, and should resolve any patching problems in the future, improving the quality of all subsequent patches. We hope that SAGA players will enjoy taking an early look at the new features being developed, and will be willing to lend a hand in providing us with information on them. Tournaments will be available for players to test for free in the near future, possibly as early as next week. Specific details on how to access the test servers are forthcoming, and we'll let you know just as soon as they are ready. We value the love and support of the SAGA community, and our hope is that with your assistance, we'll be able to assure that this next patch is the smoothest, sexiest patch in SAGA history (and I really do mean sexiest: A lot of interfaces have gotten face-lifts, and more system re-works are on the way). We anticipate that the live servers will be updated to 1.46.2 shortly after the test servers go live and we've received feedback on one or two issues. Additional information on the test servers: - You will need to install a separate SAGA client to access the test servers. - The test servers will allow you to login with your existing account information. - All account data will be copied this weekend from the main database to the test database. - Once the test servers launch, any actions taken on the test server will not be reflected on your main account. - The test server accounts will be updated from the main database immediately prior to each test server patch. - The test servers won't always be active, but they'll be up frequently, in particular before large patches. - Tournaments will be enabled on the test server (totally free). - We would ask that those you who participate send us as much info as possible on any bugs that you come across. We'd like to thank you all again for your patience and support. We hope that the coming weeks will be exciting for all of us as we bring you new fixes for issues, new updates for the game's systems, and new content to enjoy.
