• Unit of the Week: Treant Warrior •
29 October 2008
Some people think of trees as wise, peaceful organisms that spend the majority of their lives just chilling out and photosynthesizing. The towering, people-smashin' treants have proven this view to be a misconception. Trees are only peaceful as long as they're stationary, and if they're not- well, thank them for the oxygen they produce and stay out of their way. The nature faction has called the treants' larger cousins, the treant warriors, from out of the heart of Gaia's most ancient forests to aid in the battle against the Brotherhood. Unlike their relatives, treant warriors are well-suited to being at the forefront of battle. Though they are not as adept at causing damage, their ability to take it is unmatched among Gaia's children. A treant warrior's special ability allows it to sink its roots into the ground, becoming temporarily immobile in exchange for a 1000% gain in DR and 500-750 HP healed over 45 seconds. As if trees weren't hard enough to beat up, normally... The treant warrior is a 6CP nature faction card, and is playable as of patch 1.44.9. This unit is uncommon, but as will all Unit of the Week cards, it will drop more frequently during the first week of release.
