If you are one of the lucky people being asked to download 7000 files for this new patch, a different option is available. Rather than patch 900 mb of files, download 444 mb of new installer.
You will need to uninstall your current SAGA client and then reinstall the new version, but at least you won't have to patch!
Get the New Installer here and save yourself buckets of time!
